Will Nuggets Hit A Wall or Knock It Over

       I am scared.  No really!

The Wizards will be down Nene and Beal but they will have Gortat and Wall.  Cursory hoops fans are laughing at my concern with Martin Gortat because those fans often disregard the Thiago Splitters and the Timofey Mosgovs of the world.  Turn Wall into a passer as best you can and live with the results of his teammates shots would be plan A.  Shut down his teammates and let him go for 50 would be plan B.  I like plan B because Wall will soon be the type of guy who understands how to do both.  No sense in encouraging him to share the ball tonight if he would rather try to win it Melo style.

Much of my fear is founded in the history we bear as fans of the Nuggets.  There is always this early energy that east coast teams get from playing Denver.  We often fight the refs when it comes to calls and we seem to always be climbing a bigger mountain than other teams.  If the Nuggets are actually good, that shot gets tougher..

The Nuggets should win.  Lawson being down is a blessing because the Dre' and Nate connection brings mad swag to the situation.  Ty tends to turn back in the North Carolina system dude when the challenge rises a bit and that can cause us to get off to crappy starts.  We got swept by this team and it is time for a bit of retribution. If J-Ham has turned the corner, as he appeared to do in Philly, then Fournier is soon to follow.  Look for both tonight.

Last years 57 win Nuggets never had a 4-2 road trip.  They made their hay at home and hung in on the road to a franchise regular season win record.  But this team has a new coach and this coach has a new vision.

When asked what their hopes are for the last game of this trip coach Shaw says "we need to win in order to salvage this road trip".  If 4-2 is salvaging a road trip then I am scared.  No really!
