Is Gay Okay? It Is If You Are Happy!

This should not be much of a debate anymore but my people, black people, have not really decided where we stand on all of this homosexuality business, either (you're not alone duck dude).

I hate labels....all of them, but if you need to know why I am the most conservative socialist in America you might need to read this blog.  I am a God-loving, pro-family, pro-kid, heterosexual male who does not wish for the damage of homosexuality to cloud any person's life.  In the spirit of understanding I an imagining that homosexual  readers will replace one word out of my previous sentence and echo the same statement. Nobody has a monopoly on the God who made us all.  Nobody has the right to define what family means to someone else. We all love kids and I'm confident that homosexuals and those who love them continue to pray for a world that doesn't make it so hard to be different.

Right now that does not exist.  It does not exist for several reason's.  Some we can change, some we cannot.  Your homosexuality does not threaten my heterosexuality in one bit, until it does.

Until my daughter goes to school in a town with so many gay men (way too many on the down-low) that she can't be certain of a proper suitor.  Now, this is more of an issue of honesty than homosexuality which is why I began with my rebuke of black people who have made it harder for our gay children to be honest with themselves and their families.  Why is this?  I try my best to tell every conservative who will listen that black people are primarily conservative at the core, even if we differ between which party best represents our core needs.  Black people have a hard time getting away from the church roots that sustained us for so long in America.  Our conservative connection is genetic.

For me personally, I will always believe that homosexuality is dangerous to any individual without the mental capacity to endure a lifestyle that defies genetic design.  In a far reaching thought on homosexuality, where would humanity be if we all became gay?  Could science maintain civilization or would we need to redefine friends with benefits (sorry, couldn't resist).

The tendency to stack rank sin and attack it by ranking is a dangerous one.  On this matter, the spirit of Pope Francis is  one to be admired and mirrored and not the pastor who admonishes homosexuality then goes home to view porn.  Homosexuality is a hard way to live, but not harder than living a lie.

If you are happy, gay is okay with me. I am not happy if you are unhappily gay.
