When Nuggets Rebound They Are Not Beatable. Yes, I Said It.

I called it, so they better own it.

If OKC beats this team, it will take magic from both stars....Ibaka and Perkins. Yes, I said it.   Lawson is finally back, hopefully to stay, so this team should sweep the next three.  Yes, I said it.  If you beat OKC, you certainly gain the moxie to get the Suns and the Clippers.  Whenever we do what we did against the Pelicans; (really..Pelicans?...the Hornet wasn't more scary?) rebound, then we are not really beatable. Our next loss could be the rematch with the Pelicans (tee hee hee....Pelicans) especially if Anthony Davis returns to take over the boards.

The Nuggets pulled away from a good Pelican team.  A team that is better than the Jazz, but that's basketball.  The lesson and path of greatness is pretty ironclad, and all who have won big recognize the journey.  Shaw certainly recognizes both the journey and the players who have what it takes to travel that yellow brick road.  Andre Miller is his ace in the hole, but he's old.  Nate and Mosgov  guarantee  impact on both sides of the ball every night.  Everybody else is a night by night shake of the dice.

Somewhere in the anger of how we got destroyed on the boards by Utah and the win against the Pelicans, Shaw calmed his anger and coaxed his team, especially his starters, into playing hard again.  Not just hard,  but hard for each other, or him.  As a coach, you have the ability to draw on either card at times, so I can't tell you for certain which card he played.  The Nuggets played hard nonetheless, especially when the game mattered.  At the start and the finish.

They withstood hot shooting from the opponent to take a tie into the half and they executed down the stretch to strangle the life out of a team that did not roll over. When did Ryan Anderson become Dirk Nowitzki 2.0? All of this happened because they rebounded throughout the game.

Shaw went to his bench, but not in punishment as much as fatigue support.  Lawson took a long time to find a hint of himself, but he searched all game long.  I give Foye a lot of grief because it takes a real effort for him to defend and rebound and still score, so he usually does one at a time.  When Foye is scoring I can endure his game.  When he is not, I keep dreaming of packaging him and Faried up and sending them to the Lakers for Gasol.

Yes, I said it.
