Is The New Peyton Manning The Old Lebron James?

Did Peyton pass the this test too?  No!

Fan's will breathe a sigh of relief after another record setting day for Manning, especially given the freezing temps that embraced Invesco Field at Mile High Sunday against the Titans.  Fan's will breathe a sigh of relief after seeing Peyton Manning get blasted to the ground over and over by the Houston Texans only to get back up and break more records. Opponents will point out that it was only the Titan's  Texan's in December and not Tom Brady in January after all.

Is the new Peyton Manning............
(I really did simply cross out an old post, because the same arguments linger)

The old Lebron James?
At this point I have a hard time really discussing Peyton Manning because even though he has already won a Superbowl, several MVP's (I'm counting this year), name splattered all over the record books, most touchdowns in a single season....and still counting.  I could go on, but Peyton's haters could do the list better than I can.  They have heard it over and over and then waited for their opportunity to remind us all about his playoff record and his cold weather game record....and that he ain't Tom Brady.  This is starting to remind me of Lebron James, who should have shocked the world by taking his Cleveland teams as far as he did, but haters only grew until he won a couple of titles.  They still hate, but their voices are quieter (@realskipbayless).

Peyton is a truly great quarterback.  I sense that he would not be a great poker player.  He is after perfection and he needs everyone to know it.  Age has taught him to accept accolades with grace, but he seems like a fish out of water when you try to make him become satisfied like the average loser.

There really isn't much left to ask about Peyton because he has done all there is to be done, yet we still finish each week and re-ask the same question.  Is Peyton Manning the best we've ever seen?  Peyton, like Lebron, will have to decide how bad he would like to silence idiots.  Peyton, like Lebron, is the type of player that everyone realizes can do whatever he wants on any given Sunday.  He is the only guy you look at and say, how in the world does he not win the Superbowl every year.  Sounds like Lebron to me.......SquareBiz.
