Is Andrew Luck The Second Coming Of John Elway?

I remember this statuesque gunslinger that used to play at Stanford and got drafted to play quarterback for the Colts.  Upon joining the NFL, he quickly displayed this natural penchant for coming back on teams and seemed to be most dangerous in tight games.

Is this deja' vu all over again?  This time that Stanford gunslinger chose to remain a Colt instead of demanding a trade for the wild life of a Bronco.  The horse who remained a Colt entered the league as a more refined animal, yet the genetic similarities are striking between these two equine's.

Indianapolis had home field advantage to look forward to as they prepared to host a KC team that had a turn around this season similar to the one they had experienced a season prior. As the season came to a close, the resurgent Chiefs finished the season lighting up the scoreboard.  The Chiefs kept it going in Indianapolis against the Colts today.  Down 31-10 at the half, the Colts decided to give up another touchdown to the Chiefs (38-10) so that they could overcome the second largest deficit in playoff history.  After spotting the Chiefs a 28 point advantage, the Colts stormed back to beat the Chiefs 45-44 in the end.

Bronco fan's have dreamed of climbing Mt. Brady to overcome their Superbowl hurdle, but the luck of the draw might just see it differently.  Andrew Luck is quite possibly the second coming of John Elway. His will to win is eerily similar.  His talent for getting it done is eerily effective like Elway as well.  With the game on the line against the Chiefs, Luck watched a goal line hand off with a running back pop from his hands and to the ground.  The average QB would fall on the ball, roll into the fetal position and hope for a field goal.  Not Andrew Luck. Luck picked the ball up while surrounded by several 300 pound linemen, weaved through bodies who opposed him and pushed the ball in the end zone himself.

Vision's of helicopter Elway flashed in my head.

This kid is the real deal and he is showing it right away.  The best player in the league, Peyton Manning, plays for my team now because Luck sent his stiff neck out to the pasture's of Broncoland.  If it were my decision to cut Manning for Luck I would have done the same deal then and I would do it again now.  His name is Luck but his game is money and he will be the gold standard of this league very soon.

As a Denver fan, I am  praying that the old Bronco will keep this young Colt at bay for just a while.
