Chris Christie "Had No Knowledge Of This". Will He Survive BridgeGate?

https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&tab=iw#hl=en&q=chris+christie&safe=off
He is as emphatic as Richard Nixon was when confronted with similar information about members of his political team.  Chris Christie has made it known that he had 'no knowledge of this' plan and was not involved in it himself.  He asked the questions of his team but he never investigated it further because he never thought that it was a serious issue to pursue.  Never mind that it had become national news, as is everything New Jersey these days, he did not believe his background as an attorney general needed to come to play when answering the nation about these vetting efforts.

Here is the problem.  Whether this is really a scandal or just a high level character assassination of a would be presidential candidate may never come to the light.  Much like the president he could someday replace, Christie is too cool for school.  Criticize his weight and he will make you look like the fool in the end.  Argue about his style and he will assure you that there are many ways to skin a cat and he simply owns his own.  Tell him that someone in his administration shut down roads to attack a political foe and he will stand by his people until you prove to him that he should not.

Even now, they had better find something deeper on this one because there is another teflon don on the scene and his name is Christie.  In fact, Barack Obama may just have discovered a new friend because if you look at the face of those who seem most pleased with the demise of Christie, they seem to be the same people who are mad at Obama.

History tells all of us that conservatives should expect and plan for the shift of power from democrat to republican.  The trends are clear and even if democrats retain the white house, they are unlikely to gain another 3 legged majority like they had when ObamaCare was enacted.  Hillary could win, but has very little chance at two terms simply due to historical data.  Republicans have the duty to simply put forth candidates that can win a general election.  That's it.

Governor Christie is so obviously that candidate that a blind mute could call it for republicans.  We have seen peculiar behavior after peculiar behavior in regards to their treatment of Barack Obama and they've convinced us that it is nothing more than ideological.  Nothing more.  This is some of the most self destructive ideological behavior that we have ever seen, but who is to judge the heart of a man?  Spend a minute or two on a conservative blog site and you can hear the virtual bubbles flowing from the champagne celebration that conservatives are having over Christie's demise.

So while the guy on the way out has been brandished as King Obama or Monarch Barack, the strongest posturing candidate (Christie certainly seems interested in the job) is being labeled the Bully.

Maybe its just me, but after the exploits of a do-nothing congress I am more intrigued by a bully in the bully pulpit than having to call their mistreatment of Hillary something other than sexism.
